Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library
Dolly Parton's Imagination Library mails one age-appropriate book per month to children birth to age five.
As a result of Governor Ivey's Executive Order 729 making Dolly Parton's Imagination Library (DPIL) statewide, we became the Limestone County hub for DPIL. As stated in HB 50, state funds make up half of the program's funding, and local partners provide the other half. DPIL costs our agency roughly $3,600 per month and $43,200 annually.
Since Limestone County is one of the fastest growing counties in the state, the number of children enrolling in DPIL continues to rise. Currently, books are mailed to 3,046 Limestone County children monthly at a cost of $1.18 per book. Donations are greatly appreciated to assist in providing the gift of literacy to all children in Limestone County. Donate today!
